Reiki is the name given to the abundant energy in the universe and the systems known as Reiki were developed to channel and utilise this energy for healing and spiritual development. Mark teaches two distinct styles of Reiki training around the Southend area:

Reiki Course 1st Degree

The Japanese system of Usui Reiki Ryoho has an emphasis on meditation, energy focusing and spiritual practices for personal development and to improve the healing techniques of Reiki.

The Western style of Usui Shiki Ryoho focuses on the healing tradition as well as providing opportunities and support for spiritual development and personal growth.

There are no special conditions required to learn Reiki Healing and the 1st Degree Reiki course will open you to the possibilities and reality of using Reiki energy to benefit yourself and your family and friends.

Japanese style (Shoden level)

This course consists of:

* An explanation of Reiki and its history
* The 5 elements of the system
* The Precepts of Reiki as explored in the system
* Various meditation and energy techniques
* Hand positions for treating the self and others
* Group work with Reiki healing
* 4 attunements to the energy

Duration: 2 days

 

Western style

This course consists of:

* The History of Reiki
* Principles and Precepts of Reiki
* 4 Attunements to the energy
* Hand positions for treating self
* Hand positions for treating others
* Practical uses of Reiki
* Time for practice, Questions and sharing

Students are encouraged to stay with their chosen system in order to develop the energies and techniques within a particular framework.
